Master hairstylists Leonardo Manetti and Marco Santini are two of the three owners of green New York-based salon, ION STUDIO. While these two stylists have been featured in numerous editorials, Vogue has an ad for ION in their coveted September 2011 issue. Check it out and head to the ION website for additional information on the salon.
A trio of community.nyc artists, including photograper Paul Maffi, hairstylist Marco Santini and makeup artist Talia Shobrook breathed true New York life into a slew of Canadian exports. Kathy Lo, Crista Cober, and Alana Zimmer were just a few of the fabulous females captured in Fashion Magazine's editoral entitled, "NY times". The editorial presented the stories of a variety of woman who had traveled from Canada to the Big Apple to make it in the business of fashion.
The co-founders of The Coveteur, Erin Kleinberg and Stephanie Mark, were joined by fellow industry executives Maayan Zilberman, Emese Szenasy, Joanna Hillman, and Ellie Hawke to be a part of this inspirational spread. Stylists Leslie Fremar, Natasha Royt and designer Olympia Bermann rounded out the cast of move making professionals.
Each woman's personality and style was expertly highlighted by Maffi, Santini and Shobrook's talents. Tammy Eckenswiller served as the premier stylist for this photoshoot.

community.nyc was in full effect at the Kimberly Ovitz Fall'11 Presentation. Hairstylist Marco Santini used hairnets and hairspray to create a soft yet memorable look. Makeup artist Maud Laceppe teamed up with Benefit Cosmetics and Benefit Global Brow Expert Hilary Foote continuing the season trend of bold sophisticated brows. And stylist Yuki James pieced together the collection in a way that made the clothes seem effortlessly chic. Success? We think so. View the rest of the FW'11 collection HERE on Style.com
Veteran and "Go-To" Hairstylist for Jeremy Laing, Marco Santini created a beautiful wave for designer's FW'11 Presentation. The clothes were inspired by the Winter Equinox and Lunar Eclipse, which was evident through the designer's take on astronomical shapes. The young and talented Jeremy continues to evolve and after 5 years of collaborating with Marco, it's safe to say his presence at New York Fashion Week is becoming a season stable. What do sunglasses look great with? Gorgeous hair. What compliments gorgeous hair? Everything!
Let's band together Marco slicks, parts and twists to achieve his look.
Using mousse and texturizing spray Marco creates a 'rough chick' with a twist for Jeremy Laing's SS'11 collection. Knit do-rags were scattered through-out the show so Marco replicated a do-rag like do with a straight across band in the back and voilà biker envy.
Double trouble - models hang-out before doing a walk through.
Check mate!
Marco's "soft goth" hairstyle helped round off the look at Kimberly Ovitz's SS'11 presentation. The neutral color choice and asymmetrical cuts were balanced off by Marco's straight and tidy do giving us all something to stare at.
Marco Santini was in charge of making the ever sweet Rachel Bilson camera ready for a press conference for Sunglass Hut and evening of mingling with fans at their flagship store.
Marco was also busy grooming the tresses of Kristen Bell for the 25th anniversary show of Tommy Hilfiger. Kirsten payed homage to the "All American" designer by sporting red, white, and blue - her shorts were even spangled.
Talia Shobrook dolled up "Gossip Girl" star Jessica Szhor for her front row seat at the rag & bone show.
September issues are no doubt the most awaited magazines of the year. So it's no surprise that Vogue Korea would choose the striking Freja Beha for their cover. With her almond brown eyes and signature messy do Feja is constantly being snapped on and off the runway. Marco Santini and Thorsten Weiss are this month's dream team. Finding a nice medium between clean and dramatic - theses boys did Freja justice. Stylist Ye Young Kim and photographer Rafael Stahelin didn't fumble either presenting original looks and eye lusting photos. "Falling In Fall" is the title of the story but "Falling In Love" may be more suiting. Check out Ye Young Kim HERE and Rafael Stahelin HERE
